Creative Map Solutions has extensive experience digitizing planimetric mapping data from aerial photography for use in CAD or GIS.

A planimetric map consists of a representation of features as a vector file, derived from orthophotography (aerial imagery). Features such as building footprints, vegetation, roads, utilities, etc. are digitized from the aerial photos as a point, polygon, or a polyline. The resulting datasets can be provided, layered by feature type, in CAD software applications such as AutoCAD. For GIS users, data can be attributed and delivered into common GIS formats such as a .shp file.
